I Am Not That Richard Craver

From time to time I will get in a strained conversation with someone that seems to be pumping me for some bit of information. ¬†Like they ‘know’ something. There is another Richard Wayne Craver in the area, King, NC to be exact, although he did live in Winston-Salem for a period of time. It appears […]

Alcohol Anyone? – Part 2

So, it’s been about a month since I embarked on my ethanol fuel journey. I’ve gotten enough data points to be really confusing really quickly. However the app on my phone wonderfully keeps track of miles, gallons, prices and makes nice graphs. So…I’ll just use the graphing in my FuelLog app on my phone to […]

Back To A One Cat Household

When Juli and I married we combined two households of animals. For myself I just had Skoodles, the cat my daughter adopted, but the cat adopted me. Juli had Ginger, also a human adopting cat, Pixie the long-haired, loud mouth that she rescued, Sheena the black cocker spaniel, and Buster the cockatiel.

Car Audio Conundrums Revisited

Awhile back when I was still driving Methuselah I went through a period trying to get Bluetooth working with older technology so I could listen to podcasts during my commute. Ultimately I picked up a used JVC with Bluetooth from a co-worker and things got worked out nicely. With the passing of Methuselah I ended […]

Do You Have Computer Paper?

Although I’m coming up on 50, I really don’t think of myself as Old, although my body reminds me every so often. Occasionally you find yourself showing your actual age, such as the case of one of my co-workers recently who grew up in the same time period.

Feeling Kinda Drained

Well, here I sit in the Gander Mountain parking lot, in the rain. I’m not waiting on the doors to open for a great sale, I’m waiting on a tow truck.

Does Quality Work Mean Anything Anymore?

Decades ago, I suppose I was a pre-teen because I remember listening to my Dad and not rolling my eyes, my Dad was talking to me about work ethic. I remember him telling me, “Whatever kind of work you do in life, do a good job. It doesn’t matter if your are a plane pilot […]

Nasty Cars

I admit I don’t keep a spotless vehicle. Even in High School when others were washing, waxing, vacuuming and applying Armor-All and Westley’s Tire Gloss; if my car didn’t have bird droppings on it and the white letters were reasonably clean I was OK.¬† But some of the cars that come through the doors of […]
